NEWS: World Premiere of a DIY Musical Saving Christmas

This newly announced Christmas musical is to be performed by anyone anywhere.

Featuring a story and book by Steven Dexter & Elliot Davis, music by Jimmy Jewell and lyrics by Elliot Davis, Saving Christmas is a new 20 musical that people can perform at home.

The musical will feature Simon Callow as the Voice of Santa Claus and guide vocal tracks by  West End stars Luke Bayer and Kayleigh McKnight.

When Santa and his elves get ill on Christmas Eve with a dose of flu, threatening the delivery of presents around the world, Santa calls on his computer-geek child, Santa Junior, known as SJ, to step up and Save Christmas. But will SJ crack the code to access Santa’s sleigh and deliver billions of presents on time?

Now available to order (with online download available from the 1st December), Saving Christmas is produced by by British Youth Music Theatre (BYMT), the leading national musical theatre organisation for young people.

With the download, people receive: a script, a score, music tracks recorded in two keys, guide vocals by Luke Bayer (‘Everybody’s Talking About Jamie’) and Kayleigh McKnight (‘Bend it Like Beckham’, Hugh Jackman’s World Tour) and a show poster and associated materials.
