Filled with powerhouse performances, laughter and nostalgia, Thespie’s Reunited concert series continues with Together Again. Showcasing the talents of Sophie Isaacs, Jodie Steele and T’Shan Williams, this performance will delight fans of the musical Heathers in which all three performers starred in.

Together Again gets off to a dynamic start with a suitable diva style performance of ‘One Night Only’ from Dreamgirls. Led by T’Shan Williams, the rendition is a joyful way to open a show which highlights the wonderful contrast between all of the vocal performances.

The consistent vibe through out the show feels like a celebration of female performers and characters. This is particularly felt when the trio perform a particularly sharp and sassy performance of Christina Aguilera’ ‘Ain’t No Other Man’, while T’Shan Williams offers a heartfelt and grounded performance of ‘I Hate the bus’ from Caroline, Or Change.

There are also wonderful moments in which you can see them all getting lost in the characters of the songs. For example, Jodie Steele’s gorgeous rendition of ‘The Wizard and I’ from Wicked is so filled with personality that it really puts a smile on your face. Elsewhere, Sophie Isaacs performance of ‘I See Stars’ from Mean Girls the Musical is a beautifully delicate number that really suits her voice.

But there is also room in this fifty minute concert for plenty of nostalgia and tribute to family as well. Jodie Steele performed ‘When I Look at You’ from the stage production of the Scarlet Pimpernel for her parents. Steele provides such a beautiful quality to the vocals for this song it really was a highlight. T’Shan Williams paid tribute to Janet Jackson with a powerhouse performance of ‘Together Again’ and Sophie Isaacs reflected on long summer days with a gorgeous rendition of ‘Best Part’.

With a diverse range of songs, this performance felt like a real tribute to female musical theatre characters and performers that delivered from start to finish.
