NEWS: BFI and ICA Announce Season Dedicated to Wong Kar Wai

The BFI and Institute of Contemporary Arts have unveiled details of a new season dedicated to the work of Wong Kar Wai.

Audiences will be able to explore the World of Wong Kar Wai through the Institute of Contemporary Arts’ (ICA) online platform Cinema 3 from 1st February and on BFI Player from 8th February.

Celebrating the work of the Hong Kong filmmaker, the season will include seven brand new 4K restorations, five of which have been overseen by Wong Kar Wai himself. These will be made available online on the dates mentioned above. Titles will include Chungking Express, in the Mood for Love, 2046 and The Grandmaster.

This newly announced season will also be able to immerse themselves in the world of the filmmaker on the big screen, with the retrospective heading to the BFI Southbank and the ICA when restrictions have lifted and cinemas are able to reopen .

Tickets to access this programme will be available to book from 12pm on Monday 18th January directly from the ICA. All films on Cinema 3 will be available to watch online for 14 days from the advertised start time.
