It has been announced that Sir Derek Jacobi will join the previously announced Sam Tutty and Emily Redpath in the new filmed theatre production.

Available to stream from the 13th to the 20th February, Sir Derek Jacobi joins the cast for this new production of Romeo & Juliet as the narrator. He joins Sam Tutty as Romeo and Emily Redpath as Juliet.

With a portion of the profits going to the charity Acting For Others, the production has used cutting edge technology to produce and film the show under the current rules and regulations.

Directed by Nick Evans, the production is also set to star Brandon Bassir as Mercutio, Daniel Bowerbank as Benvolio, Jonny Labey as Paris, Sylvester Akinrolabu as Tybalt, Helen Anker as Capulet, Marc Ozall as Montague, Lucy Tregear as Nurse, Vinta Morgan as Friar, Jessica Murrain as Prince, Timmy Driscoll as Sam, Tats Nyazika as Gregory, Iskandar Eton as Abe and Ollie Tennant as Balthasar.

The creative team for this production of Romeo & Juliet includes: assistant direction by Gwenan Bain, editing by Ryan Metcalfe, production design by Jamie Osborne for Preevue, costume design by Natasha Bowles, original music by Sam Dinley, sound design by Olly Steel, lighting design by Elliot Smith, visual effects by Preevue, production management by Gary Beestone and casting by Jim Arnold CDG. It is produced by Metcalfe Gordon Productions.
