The hit West End musical has revealed the date it hopes to be welcoming audiences back again.
Through its social media channels, Tina – The Tina Turner Musical has set its return to the West End for the 3rd June, subject to social distancing measures being lifted enough to allow for audiences to enter the Aldwych Theatre.
With tickets on sale now, casting for the musical’s return has yet to be announced.
Directed by Phyllida Lloyd and written by Katori Hallwith Frank Ketelaar and Kees Prins, Tina – The Tina Turner musical follows the life of the singer from her humble beginnings to becoming one of the most instantly recognisable singers of her generation. It includes all of her biggest hits including ‘What’s Love Got to Do With It’, ‘(Simply) The Best’.
The musical, which originally premiered in 2018, features choreography by Anthony van Laast, with set and costume designs by Mark Thompson, musical supervision by Nicholas Skilbeck, lighting by Bruno Poet, sound by Nevin Steinberg, projection design by Jeff Sugg and orchestrations by Ethan Popp. Our review of the show can be read here.
