The musical will head to the London venue after a run at the New Theatre in Peterborough.

It has been confirmed that the musical will play at the Southbank Centre from the 8th December to the 22nd January, following its run at the New Theatre in Peterborough from the 26th November until the 4th December. Further dates for the tour in 2022 have yet to be announced.

Based on the film on the same name, Bring it On the musical features a score by Lin Manuel Miranda and Tom Kitt, as well as lyrics by Miranda and Amanda Green. The book is by Jeff Whitty and has been nominated for a number of Tony Awards.

Guy Unsworth is set to direct this production, which is set to star Amber Davies (9 to 5 the musical) and four-time gymnastic Olympic medallist Louis Smith. Further casting has yet to be announced.

The creative team for this production includes choreography by  Fabian Aloise, acrobatic direction by Danny MacDonald, set design by Libby Watson, costume design by Susan Kulkarni, lighting design by Matt Daw, sound design by Ross Portway, musical supervision by Mark Crossland, musical direction by Sarah Burrell and voice and dialect by Aundrea Fudge.

Tickets for the production are set to go on sale on the 5th March.
