The tour is set to open later this year in Sheffield.

Casting has been announced for the upcoming UK tour of the hit musical by Kander and Ebb, which is currently set to open in Sheffield from the 22nd to the 26th June .

Walter Bobbie’s production, which most recently ran in the Phoenix Theatre, is set to star Faye Brookes as Roxie Hart, alongside Sinitta as Mama Morton, Divina DeCampo as Mary Sunshime, Djalenga Scott as Velma and Joel Montague as Amos Hart. The role of Billy Flynn is set to be announced soon.

The cast will also include Ishmail Aaron, Michelle Andrews, Delycia Belgrave, Joel Benjamin, Tanisha-Mae Brown, Callum Fitzgerald, Emily Goodenough, Billy Hardy, Aaron Jenkins, Liam Marcellino, Theo Reece, Hollie Jane Stephens and Harrison Wilde.

Chicago was created by John Kander and Fred Ebb, with original choreography by Bob Fosse. The 1996 production was choreographed by Ann Reinking in the style of Bob Fosse with direction by Walter Bobbie. It was most recently seen in the West End at the Phoenix Theatre.

The musical follows the story of Roxie Hart who murders her boyfriend and so schemes to escape justice with the help of smooth talking lawyer Billy Flynn. It includes the memorable songs ‘Cell Block Tango’, ‘Razzle Dazzle’ and ‘All That Jazz’. Tt is based on the play by Maurine Dallas Watkin.
