The revival of the musical will now play at the Barbican Theatre from July.
It has been announced that Kathleen Marshall’s production of Cole Porter and PG Wodehouse’s musical will now run at the Barbican Theatre from the 23rd July until the 17th October.
Meanwhile, joining the previously announced Robert Lindsay, Felicity Kendal, Gary Wilmot and Megan Mullally in the production will be: Samuel Edwards (Les Misérables, Wicked) as Billy Crocker, alongside Nicole-Lily Baisden (The Book of Mormon, Let’s Face The Music) as Hope Harcourt, Carly Mercedes Dyer (West Side Story, Chicago) as Erma and Haydn Oakley (A Christmas Carol, An American in Paris) as Lord Evelyn Oakleigh. Further casting will be announced soon as well as updates with regards to the UK tour of the musical.
The musical is set on the SS Americana and follows the stories of two pairings who are attempting to find love on the sea. It features memorable songs such as “I Get A Kick Out of You”, “You’re the Top”, “It’s De- Lovely!” and “Anything Goes”.
As well as being directed by Kathleen Marshall (who directed and choreographed the 2011 revival), the creative team for the production includes: set designer Derek McLane, lighting designer Neil Austin, sound designer Simon Baker and musical supervisor Stephen Ridley.
