The Barn Theatre has today announced casting and creative team for its upcoming livestream of its new song cycle Now Or Never.
The song cycle, written by the theatre’s associate artist Matthew Harvey is set to be streamed live on the 1st April at 6.30pm.
The show is set to star: Eloise Davies (Be More Chill, Grease), Ahmed Hamad (Rent, Stay Awake Jake, The Boy in the Dress), Matthew Harvey (Les Misérables, Violet, Jesus Christ Superstar, Murder Ballad), Irvine Iqbal (The Boy in the Dress, Aladdin, Broken Wings),Lucy St Louis (Man of La Mancha, Motown, Beautiful),Katie Shearman (The Sound of Music UK Tour, Evita) andCourtney Stapleton (Dear Evan Hansen, Six, Les Misérables).
Now Or Never is a new song cycle which follows seven people as they each take a defiant act of positivity in their last week on Earth. It is the first project that The Barn Theatre and associate artist Matthew Harvey have collaborated on.
Matthew Harvey created the piece with the intention of writing about individual responses to global adversity without writing specifically about the pandemic and is formed of seven songs exploring the lives of relatable everyday characters.
The creative team behind the project also includes Ryan Carter as Creative Director, who is responsible for the innovative digital approach, Ben Collins as Director of Photography, supported by Ben Thomas & Alex Tabrizi, Harry Smith is the Sound Designer.
