It was announced today that the West End production of Hamilton will begin performances at the Victoria Palace Theatre from the 19th August and is now booking until the 13th February 2022.

Talking about the news producer Jeffrey Seller said: “After a painful and challenging year, I am thrilled for our beloved London company to return to the magnificent, and safe, Victoria Palace Theatre, and can’t wait to welcome back London audiences to Hamilton.”

Telling the story of America’s Founding Father Alexander Hamilton, an immigrant from the West Indies who became George Washington’s right-hand man during the Revolutionary War and helped shape the very foundations of the America that exists today, Hamilton features a book, music and lyrics by Lin-Manuel Miranda.

While casting for the musical’s return has yet to be confirmed, the creative team for the production includes: direction by Thomas Kail, with choreography by Andy Blankenbuehler, musical supervision and orchestrations by Alex Lacamoire and is based on Ron Chernow’s biography of Alexander Hamilton.  Hamilton features scenic design by David Korins, costume design by Paul Tazewell, lighting design by Howell Binkley, sound design by Nevin Steinberg and hair and wig design by Charles G. LaPointe.

The award-winning musical opened at the Victoria Palace Theatre in  December 2017 and continued to play there until the start of lockdown in March last year.
