NEWS: David Bradley and John Barrowman to Feature in Pre-Recorded Cameos for Doctor Who: Time Fracture

More details have been unveiled about the upcoming immersive experience based on the BBC show.

Ahead of performances beginning on the 26th May, it has been confirmed that David Bradley and John Barrowman will be reprising their roles as William Hartnell’s First Doctor and Captain Jack Harkness in pre-recorded cameo appearances for the immersive show.

Talking about the news, David Bradley said: “This is going to be something really special. Anyone who sees the show who is not a Doctor Who fan when they go in, surely will be when they come out! It’s going to be an amazing experience.”

Meanwhile John Barrowman commented: “I wanted to get involved not only because I love storytelling and I love Captain Jack the character, but also because this introduces Jack to the next generation of Doctor Who fans. If you’re coming to this – why not dress up as your favourite character? it’s going to be like Comic Con but with a storyline! Create your character, get in there and enjoy the journey.”

Doctor Who Time Fracture is set to feature a cast of over 40 live performers who began rehearsals last week. The cast is set to include: Angus Brown, Angus Dunican, Anouk Chalmers, Becky Bassett, Bethany Blake, Charlie Burt, Chioma Uma, Christina Andrews, Craig Hamilton, Daisy Winter-Taylor, Dare Emmanuel, Efé Egwele, Ellamae Cieslik, Elliot Rodriguez, Gareth Radcliffe, Georgia Redgrave, Harry Pudwell, Hayden Wood, Howard Grater, Ivy Corbin, Jamal Renaldo, James Bryant, James Byng, James Lawrence, Jenny Horsthuis, Jessica Elton, Jessica Hern, John Sodiq Akanmu, Kieran Mortell, Liv Spencer, Max Krupski, Maxwell Tyler, Megan Louise Wilson, Michael Geary, Molly Walker, Paul Collin-Thomas, Paul Croft, Paul Easom, Ricky Hunt, Ricky Shah, Ryan Ruel and Sam Blythe.

Written by Daniel Dingsdale and directed by Tom Maller, Doctor Who: Time Fracture will take a company of 86 people to run each performance – with the cast bringing to life Daleks, Cybermen, Weeping Angels and a host of other well-known characters.

Featuring designs by Rebecca Brower and Doctor Who lore consultancy and Script Editing by James Goss, this new immersive experience will feature original costumes and props from across various episodes of the TV series feature in the production, sourced from the BBC’s Doctor Who props store in Cardiff. Many additional items that were either unavailable or no longer exist have been recreated in detail by some of the industry’s leading prop and costume experts.
