The actress returns to the production to play the narrator at certain performances when the show returns to the London Palladium this Summer.

Michael Harrison and the Really Useful Group have announced that Linzi Hateley – who starred in the original London Palladium production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat will play the role of the narrator at certain performances during the production’s run this Summer. Her first performance in this production will be on the 17th July.

Returning to the West End from the 1st July, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat will see Jac Yarrow playing the title role, Jason Donovan as Pharaoh and Alexandra Burke as the narrator at certain performances.

Directed by Laurence Connor, this production of Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice’s musical was first seen at the London Palladium in 2019. The musical also features choreography by JoAnn M Hunter, set and costume design by Morgan Large , lighting design by Ben Cracknell and sound design by Gareth Owen.

First released as a concept album Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat includes the songs Any Dream Will Do, Close Every Door To Me, Jacob and Sons, There’s One More Angel In Heaven and Go Go Go Joseph.

Talking about the news of Linzi joining the cast producer Michael Harrison said: “This dream just keeps getting better. It was special enough to announce Alexandra Burke recently as the Narrator, but to now have the added bonus of Linzi playing the role at special performances – and to reunite her with Jason Donovan again at the London Palladium –  turns Joseph into a dream ticket. The combination of nostalgia for the original Palladium production, coupled with the excitement of our new critically acclaimed version, means we all have a summer to look forward to.”

Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat will play at the London Palladium from the 1st July until the 5th September. To book tickets click here or visit: Love Theatre.comLondon Theatre Direct.comTheatre Tickets DirectFrom the Box Office or Last Minute.com.
