NEWS: Nova Cinema is to Reopen on the 20th May

It has been announced that the cinema based in Woking will welcome audiences back from Thursday 20th May.

Tickets are now on sale for the Nova Cinema’s relaunch in a couple of weeks, opening from Thursday to Sundays with a range of films that will suit everybody’s tastes.

The cinema’s opening programme of films is set to include: Godzilla Vs Kong in 4kand Dobly Atmos, Those Who Wish Me Dead, Peter Rabbit 2: The Runaway, Nomadland, Sound of Metal, Spiral: From the Book of Saw, Maya the Bee 3: The Golden Orb, The Secret Garden and Minari.

Meanwhile, it has also been announced that the Nova Cinema will be open every day with a Nova Kids screening at 10.30am and tickets just £3.

Despite being closed during lockdown having launched briefly in October last year, the cinema was honoured at the International Design Awards (IDA) 2020 for its transformation under the guidance of Wren Architecture and Design Ltd.

It has also been confirmed that social distancing and safety measures will remain in place at Nova Cinema to ensure a safe and comfortable environment for guests and staff.

Talking about the cinema reopening, Simon Thomsett, Nova Cinema’s Venue Director, says: “The time has finally come for us to relaunch our brand-new Nova Cinema and we could not be more excited! It’s been an incredibly challenging time for cultural venues up and down the country and we are so happy to emerge from it with something so beautiful for the people of Woking and beyond to enjoy.”
