The Strictly Come Dancing star and international champion has announced his first UK tour.

Titled Johannes Radebe: Freedom, this newly announced UK tour will open on the 16th March and run until the 1st May 2022.

Johannes Radebe: Freedom is set to be a celebration of dance and music performed by a company of talented dancers. Through the show, the dancer will take the audience on a journey from him growing up in South Africa, to travelling the world, winning titles and starring in Strictly Come Dancing.

Johannes Radebe was born in the township Zamdela Sasolburg, South Africa where he began to dance at the age of seven. Over the next 13 years, Johannes competed in local competitions, climbing up the Latin ranks with top honours, and eventually adding Ballroom and other dance styles, such as African Contemporary and Jazz. He lfet South Africa when he was 21 to work on the Italian cruise liner Costa and he was soon promoted to Dance Captain before being invited to join the debut season of the international hit show, Dancing With The Stars, in South Africa.

His career has also seen him touring the world in the international dance show Burn The Floor, before being approached to take part in BBC’s Strictly Come Dancing. In his second series he was partnered with  Catherine Tyldesley and danced the first same-sex routine with fellow Strictly star Graziano Di Prima.  In 2020, he danced with Caroline Quentin and reached week seven in a shorter BAFTA-nominated season.

Johannes Radebe: Freedom is set to open at the   Bridlington Spa on the 16th March before travelling across the UK, concluding at the Marlowe Theatre in Canterbury.
