The new documentary about the singer is set to be released through Amazon Prime Video on the 25th June.

A brand new trailer has been released for the documentary that sees the nine-time Grammy-winning recording artist and Academy Award nominated singer and actress reflecting on the making of her 1994 album My Life.

The album, which includes the songs ‘I’m Goin’ Down’, ‘Be With You’ and ‘Be Happy’, deals with many of the battle that Mary J.Blige had with abuse, depression and addiction.

Directed by Oscar-winning filmmaker Vanessa Roth, the documentary reveals many of the stories and background that went into the creation of the album as well as seeing Blige celebrating the 25th anniversary of the album by performing it live for the first time.

It is an Amazon original documentary and has been produced by Ashaunna K. Ayars and Q. Nicole Jackson and executive produced by Mary J. Blige, Sean “Diddy” Combs, Tara Long, Mark Ford, Kevin Lopez,
Jeffrey Harleston and Jody Gerson. 

Mary J.Blige’s My Life will be released via Amzon Prime Video on the 25th June.
