The play, presented by The Soho Poly in association with Brickdust, will play at the King’s Head Theatre for a week from the 12th to the 17th July.
It has been announced that Christopher Harper (ITV’s Coronation Street; Apollo 13: The Dark Side of the Moon, Original Theatre Online, Dial M For Murder, UK Tour) and Saffron Coomber (CBBC’s Tracy Beaker Returns; BBC 1’s Small Axe, Emilia (Vaudeville Theatre) will star in Matthew Morrison’s play Dance at the King’s Head Theatre next month.
The play, which premiered as an online lockdown drama in 2020, will make its official stage debut as part of the King’s Head Theatre’s annual festival of new-writing, Playmill.
Kemi’s being bullied and it’s getting out of control. Everything her dad does to help only makes it worse. But when Kemi is humiliatingly thrust into the limelight, the pair concoct a dark revenge that might just go viral. DANCE is a captivating, funny and unpredictable story that explores the impact of social media on mental health and how online bullying impacts young people in today’s society.
The play is directed by Charlotte Peters and features music by Lindsey Miller and choreography by Lily Howkins.
Dance will play at the King’s Head Theatre from the 12th to the 17th July.
