The theatre based in Cirencester have announced details of its reopening programme including the 25th anniversary production of Marie Jones’ Olivier award-winning tragicomedy Stones in His Pockets.

  The Barn Theatre has announced the full programme to welcome back audiences. Following on from the Olivier Award-winning comedy Jeeves and Wooster in Perfect Nonsense, running at the theatre until the 10th July, the theatre will present the 25th anniversary production of Marie Jones’ Stones in His Pockets (27th July until the 22nd August).

Meanwhile, from the 31st August until the 11th September, the Barn Theatre will welcome back An Elephant in the Garden, following on from its digital run earlier this year.

Also included in the season will be the world premiere of Simon Reade’s actor-musician adaptation of David Copperfield, playing at the theatre from the 28th September until the 6th November. The theatre’s 2021 season will end with The Brothers Grimm Present: Cinderella, which will run over the festive period from the 16th November until the 2nd January 2022.

The theatre has also confirmed the return of its outdoor festival BarnFest, following the success of its inaugural festival last year.    Cast and creatives for the 2021 productions and further information on BarnFest will be announced in due course.
