Casting has been announced for the production of Conor McPherson’s play.

It has been announced that Curtis-Lee Ashqar, Michelle Fox and Rory Keenan will join the previously announced Brendan Coyle in this first revival of the play since it premiered at the Royal Court Theatre in 2004.

Directed by Artistic Director Nadia Fall, Shining City is a play that explores of guilt, loneliness and the spaces between us. It is set to play at the Theatre Royal Stratford East from the 17th September until the 23rd October.

Dublin, Ireland. John, recently bereaved, believes himself to be haunted by the ghost of his dead wife.

Plagued by secrets, he slowly reveals his story and his truth to Ian – a psychotherapist and former priest who has lost his faith. As the two men struggle to make sense of their place in the world, they are bound in ways they could never have imagined and forced to question the very nature of reality itself.

The creative team for this revival includes: Designer Peter McKintosh, Lighting Designer Howard Harrison, Sound Designer  Alexandra Faye Braithwaite and Movement Director Jack Murphy.
