Having had its run postponed twice, the world premiere of the new musical will now take place in October.

10 to 4 Productions have announced that the new musical inspired by the Jack Engelhard novel and the 1993 film will now begin performances at the Southwark Playhouse from the 22nd October and will play until the 27th November.

Atlantic City. 1988: Jonny and Rebecca  are very much in love and very much in debt. Jonny’s a struggling singer-songwriter who spends most of his time playing backup for Annie , a singer at the Oasis Casino Hotel Resort. Rebecca’s working two jobs as they struggle to make ends meet. But they’re happy and that’s enough. Or is it? 

When wealthy stranger Larry Harris  arrives in town and offers Rebecca a million dollars to spend a night with him, will the lure of money outweigh their promise of fidelity? Will Rebecca accept Larry’s indecent proposal? Will their marriage survive if she doesn’t? Will their marriage survive if she does?

Casting for the production is set to include Norman Bowman as Jonny, Ako Mitchell as Larry and Jacqui Dankworth as Annie. Further casting has yet to be announced.

Indecent Proposal features music by Dylan Schlosberg and book and lyrics by Michael Conley. This production is directed by Charlotte Westenra, Set and Costume Design is by Anna Kelsey, Lighting Design by Hartley Kemp, Movement by Jane McMurtrie and Musical Supervision by John Reddell.

Indecent Proposal will play at the Southwark Playhouse from the 22nd October until the 27th November.
