The production will play at the Apollo Theatre from the 16th April 2022.
Sonia Friedman Productions and the Royal Court Theatre have announced that Jezz Butterworth’s Jerusalem will play at the Apollo Theatre for a limited season from the 16th April 2022.
Running for a strictly limited 16 week run, it has also been confirmed that Mark Rylance and Mackenzie Crook will reprise their roles as Johnny “Rooster” Byron and Ginger respectively, with further casting to be announced soon.
On St George’s Day, the morning of the local county fair, Johnny Byron is a wanted man. The Council officials want to serve him an eviction notice, his son wants his dad to take him to the fair, Troy Whitworth wants to wreak his revenge and a motley crew of mates wants his ample supply of drugs and alcohol.
There are set to be over 800 seats at £15 or under each week across the house throughout the run with additional education rates of £25 per student ticket.
Jerusalem originally premiered at the Royal Court Theatre in 2009 and has since had further runs at the Royal Court Theatre and the Apollo Theatres in 2009, 2010 and 2011 as well the Music Box Theater on Broadway in 2011.
The production is directed by Ian Rickson, with the creative team also including: designer Ultz, lighting designer Mimi Jordan Sherin, composer Stephen Warbeck,sound designer Ian Dickinson for Autograph and castingdirector Amy Ball CDG.
Jerusalem will play at the Apollo Theatre from the 16th April until the 6th August 2022.
