10 to 4 Productions has announced that Lizzy Connolly (The Windsors TV/Sweet Charity at The Donmar) has been cast the role of Rebecca in the world premiere of Indecent Proposal which begins performances at the Southwark Playhouse next month. She will be joined in the production by Norman Bowman as Jonny; (42nd Street Theatre Royal, Drury Lane; Eugenius! London Palladium; King Lear Royal Exchange Theatre) Jacqui Dankworth as Annie (; Into the Woods, original London cast, Phoenix Theatre; Les Liaisons Dangereuses, RSC and celebrated Jazz recording artist) and Ako Mitchell as the wealthy stranger Larry Harris (The Color Purple Leicester Curve and Birmingham Hippodrome; Caroline, or Change Chichester, Hampstead and West End; Guys and Dolls Manchester Royal Exchange). Eve de Leon Allen (recent graduate of Rose Bruford, ‘Doctor Who’ and recently ‘REARRANGED’ by the Grad Fest at the Iris Theatre) joins the cast in the supporting role of Heidi.

Atlantic City. 1988. Jonny and Rebecca are very much in love and very much in debt. He’s a struggling singer-songwriter who spends most of his time playing backup for Annie at the Oasis Casino Hotel Resort, and she works part-time at the casino and for a local charity. They struggle to make ends meet but they’re happy and that’s enough.

Or is it?

When wealthy stranger Larry Harris arrives in town and offers Rebecca a million dollars to spend a night with him, will the lure of money outweigh the promise of fidelity? Will Rebecca accept Larry’s indecent proposal? Will her marriage survive if she doesn’t? Will Jonny stick around if she does?

Indecent Proposal is inspired by the Jack Engelhard book and was later adapted into the 1993 film. This musical adaptation features music by Dylan Schlosberg and book and lyrics by Michael Conley and is directed by Charlotte Westenra. It is produced by Neil Marcus for 10 to 4 Production, with musical supervision by John Reddell. The creative team also includes set and costume design by Anna Kelsey, lighting design by Hartley Kemp and movement by Jane McMurtrie.

Indecent Proposal will play at the Southwark Playhouse from the 22nd October until the 27th November.
