The eagerly anticipated London production is set to begin performances at the Piccadilly Theatre from the 12th November.

The producers of Moulin Rouge! The Musical have announced the cast for the upcoming London production based on the 2001 film when it heads to the West End from November.

It has been confirmed that Liisi LaFontaine (Good Trouble, Dreamgirls) will lead the cast as Satine and Jamie Bogyo will be making his West End debut as Christian. They will be joined in the cast by Clive Carter who will play the legendary Moulin Rouge impresario, Harold Zidler, Simon Bailey as The Duke, Jason Pennycooke and Elia Lo Tauro (On Your FeetCarousel) as the Bohemians Toulouse-Lautrec and Santiago.

Meanwhile, the club’s entertainers known as the ‘Lady Ms’ will be played by Sophie Carmen Jones as Nini, Zoe Birkett  as Arabia, Jonathan Bishop  as Baby Doll and Timmika Ramsay as La Chocolat.

The full company is completed by Femi Akinfolarin, Robson Broad, Ian Carlyle, Jonathan Cordin, Anthony Cragg, Katie Ella Dunsden, Adam Gillian, Luke Jackson, Alicia Mencía, Ciro Lourencio Meulens, Georgia Morgan, Melissa Nettleford, Ian Oswald, Craig Ryder, Tinovimbanashe Sibanda, Katie Singh, Ope Sowande, Tanisha Spring, Toyan Thomas-Browne, Amy Thornton, Misty May Tindall, Jon Tsouras, Tommy Wade-Smith and Lily Wang.

As well as being directed by Alex Timbers, the creative team behind the production includes: a book by John Logan (Tony Award for Red, three-time Academy Award nominee, including for Gladiator and The Aviator), choreography by Sonya Tayeh (Lucille Lortel Award and Obie Award for Kung Fu, and Emmy winner), and music supervision, orchestrations and arrangements by Justin Levine (Bloody Bloody Andrew Jackson). The musical also features set design by Derek McLane, costumes by Catherine Zuber, lighting design by Justin Townsend, sound design by Peter Hylenski, hair and wig design by David Brian Brown and make up design by Sarah Cimino.

Moulin Rouge! The Musical will begin previews at the Piccadilly Theatre from the 12th November.
