The beloved production based on the picture book by Raymond Briggs will return to London this Christmas.

It has been announced the family friendly show The Snowman will return to London’s Peacock Theatre this festive season, playing from the 20th November until the 2nd January 2022.

Returning for the 24th year, Birmingham Repertory Theatre’s production features choreography by Robert North and direction by Bill Alexander.

Based on the book and film (directed by Diane Jackson and produced by John Coates), The Snowman follows the adventures of a boy and a snowman that happen over one evening.

The Snowman follows a young boy’s journey when his snowman creation magically comes to life. Featuring an assortment of characters including dancing penguins, a beautiful snow princess, her wicked beau Jack Frost and Father Christmas himself, The Snowman is a perfect introduction to dance for the very young and an unforgettable festive adventure for all the family.

Featuring music and lyrics by Howard Blake, including the popular ‘Walking in the Air’, this stage production also includes design by Ruari Murchison and lighting by Tim Mitchell.

The Snowman will play at the Peacock Theatre from the 20th November until the 2nd January 2022. It will then visit the Birmingham Repertory Theatre from 6th – 9th January 2022.
