This new exhibition allows visitors to explore Michelangelo’s Sistine Chapel without having to take a trip to Rome.
With tickets on sale now, take an up-close and personal look at one of the most famous pieces of art – thanks to digital technology and the LA-based SEE Global Entertainment, visitors can explore the Sistine Chapel from different perspectives in this immersive exhibition.
On display at the Cannon Factory in Tottenham Hale, the exhibition replicates the ceiling paintings from the Sistine Chapel with great care and expertise by using licensed high-definition photos. Then, by using special photo-printing technique, the look and feel of the paintings is reproduced to allow visitors to see the paintings much closer than the original.
Each image featured also has informative signage and audio guides which will offer even more depth and understanding into the work that went in to creating them.
This exhibition has toured globally but it is the first time that it has come to London.
Michelangelo’s masterpiece was painted in the artist’s signature fresco style on the walls and ceilings of the Apostolic Palace in Rome, Italy between 1508 and 1512.
