Inside the Rehearsals of…Cabaret, Kit Kat Club

Ahead of performances beginning at the transformed Playhouse Theatre, rehearsal images have been released for the upcoming revival of the musical.

With performances beginning on the 15th November, the newly released rehearsal images offer a glimpse as to what audiences can expect from this revival of John Kander and Fred Ebb’s musical.

Based on the on the play by John van Druten, stories by Christopher Isherwood and features a book by Joe Masteroff, Cabaret features songs such as ‘Maybe This Time’, ‘Wilkommen’ and ‘Money’.

The cast for this new production is led by Eddie Redmayne as ‘The Emcee’, Jessie Buckley as ‘Sally Bowles’ Omari Douglas as ‘Cliff Bradshaw’, Liza Sadovy as ‘Fraulein Schneider’, Elliot Levey as ‘Herr Schultz’, Stewart Clarke as ‘Ernst Ludwig’ and Anna-Jane Casey as ‘Fraulein Kost’. The cast is completed by Josh Andrews, Emily Benjamin, Sally Frith, Matthew Gent, Emma Louise Jones, Ela Lisondra, Theo Maddix, Chris O’Mara, Daniel Perry, Andre Refig, Christopher Tendai, Bethany Terry, Lillie-Pearl Wildman and Sophie Maria Wojna.

In addition,the prologue company who will welcome audiences through the doors of the Kit Kat Club are: Gabriela Bendetti, Rachel Benson, Laura Braid, Julian Capolei, Hollie Cassar, Celine Fortenbacher-Popławska, Samantha Ho, Andrew Linnie and Sally Swanson.

Performed in-the-round auditorium and reimagined spaces, before the show guests are invited to enjoy and explore the Kit Kat Club with pre-show entertainment, drinks and dining all on offer. When booking, guests will receive a ‘club entry time’ to allow enough time to take in the world of the Kit Kat Club before the show starts.

This revival is directed by Rebecca Frecknall with design by Tom Scutt, choreography by Julia Cheng, musical supervision and direction by Jennifer Whyte, lighting design by Isabella Byrd and sound design by Nick Lidster. The casting director is Stuart Burt and the associate director is Jordan Fein. The show is produced by Ambassador Theatre Group Productions and Underbelly.

Cabaret will begin performances on the 15th November.
