NEWS: Jagged Little Pill to Head to the West End in November 2022

It has been announced through the production’s social media channels that the musical will be make its UK debut later this year.

Broadway producers Vivek J. Tiwary, Arvind Ethan David, and Eva Price have announced they are partnering with producer Adam Kenwright and Kindred Partners to bring the musical based on Alanis Morrissette’s album of the same name to the West End this Autumn. Full details including dates and theatre have yet to be confirmed.

Nominated for two Tony Awards, the musical originally opened on Broadway in 2019, concluding its run at the end of 2021 and includes the songs “Ironic,” “You Oughta Know,” and “Hand in My Pocket” from the 1995 album, which propelled Alanis Morrissette to becoming the bestselling international debut artist in history.

Directed by Tony Award-winner Diane Paulus, Jagged Little Pill follows the story of a perfectly imperfect American family who finds strength in one another when a troubling event shakes their community.

The musical features a book by Oscar winner Diablo Cody, music by Alanis Morissette and Glen Ballard, lyrics by Alanis Morissette, and choreography by Sidi Larbi Cherkaoui. Meanwhile, the production also features scenic design by Riccardo Hernandez, costume design by Emily Rebholz, lighting design by Justin Townsend, sound design by Jonathan Deans, and additional music by Mike Farrell and Guy Sigsworth.
