The film is set to be released on Disney + in September.

Disney have released a brand new teaser trailer for the live action interpretation of Pinocchio, which will be heading to Disney + on the 8th September.

This new film based on Disney’s classic 1940 animated film is directed by Robert Zemeckis (Forrest Gump, The Polar Express, The Witches). The cast includes Tom Hanks as Geppetto, the wood carver who builds and treats Pinocchio as if he is his own. He is joined in the cast by Benjamin Evan Ainsworth as Pinocchio, Joseph Gordon-Levitt voices Jiminy Cricket, Cynthia Erivo as the Blue Fairy, Keegan-Michael Key as “Honest” John, Lorraine Bracco as new character Sofia the Seagull and Luke Evans as The Coachman.

Pinocchio is produced by Zemeckis, Derek Hogue, Andrew Miano, Chris Weitz and Paul Weitz are the film’s producers, with Jackie Levine, Jack Rapke, Alexandra Derbyshire and Jeremy Johns serving as executive producers.

As well as Pinocchio, other upcoming live-action remakes of Disney animated films include the release of The Little Mermaid, scheduled for the 26th May 2023 and Peter Pan & Wendy which like Pinocchio will be a Disney+ exclusive.
