NEWS: BFI Announce Details of Glenda Jackson: The Art of Conviction Season

The month long season celebrating the career of the actress will run at the BFI from the 2nd to the 31st July.

The BFI have confirmed details of its upcoming season celebrating the career of Glenda Jackson. During the season, the BFI Will feature screenings of her Oscar-winning performances in Women in Love and A Touch of Glass as well as a complete screening of the mini-series Elizabeth R.

A highlight of the season will be Glenda Jackson in Conversation. Taking place on the 5th July, this provides audiences with a unique opportunity to hear from one of the greatest actors of our time, who has a track record of choosing roles that are centred on independence and conviction, and whose talent and intensity have burned through big and small screen alike.

Other screenings taking place throughout the season will include: Sunday, Bloody Sunday, The Romantic English Woman, Hopscotch and The Maids.

The season has been co-programmed by BFI Lead Programmer Justin Johnson, and BFI Television Programmer Marcus Prince.
