The production officially opened at the open air theatre last night (22nd July).

Production images have been released for the new musical adaptation of 101 Dalmatians, which is running at the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre until the 28th August. This newly commissioned musical has been written by Douglas Hodge (music and lyrics) and Johnny McKnight (book), from a stage adaptation by Zinnie Harris and based on the book by Dodie Smith.

When infamous Cruella de Vil (Kate Fleetwood) sets her sights on a new Dalmatian fur coat, there’s trouble ahead for Pongo, Perdi and their adorable litter of puppies. Based on the classic story set in the heart of Regent’s Park, this new musical adaptation, packed with puppetry, is perfect for a summer’s day.
The cast for Timothy Sheader’s production is led by Olivier and Tony Award nominee Kate Fleetwood as the iconic villain Cruella de Vil. She is joined by Jamil Abbasi (Ensemble), Stuart Angell (Captain Head), George Bukhari (Jasper), Sonya Cullingford (Ensemble), Jade Davies (Swing), Karen Fishwick (Danielle), Joseph Fletcher (Ensemble), Taofique Folarin (Swing), Courtney George (Ensemble), Tash Holway (Swing and Dance Captain), CJ Johnson (Ensemble), Kody Mortimer (Ensemble), Simon Oskarsson (Swing), Tom Peters (Captain Voice), Eric Stroud (Dominic), Jonny Weldon (Casper), and Grace Wylde (Madam Doué). Meanwhile, dalmatians Pongo and Perdi are puppeteered by Danny Collins (Pongo Voice), Emma Lucia (Perdi Voice), Yana Penrose (Perdi Head) and Ben Thompson (Pongo Head).

A Young Company alternates as Dalmatian puppies Button, Lucky, Patch and Spud. Button is played by Rebecca Bennett, Charlie Man-Evans and Harmony Cover-Allicock; Lucky by Darcey Fryer-Bovill, Rhiya Rasalingam and Paul Sarte; Patch by Oscar Cox, Charlie McGonagle and Albie Salter; and Spud by George Clarke, Hadlee Snow and Howard Webb.

101 Dalmatians will play at the Regent’s Park Open Air Theatre until the 28th August.
