The live action re-make of the animated classic is set for release on Disney Plus next month.
A brand new trailer has been released for the latest Disney live action re-make, telling the story of Pinocchio a little wooden boy who goes on big adventures. It follow on from previous other live action films from the company including The Lion King, The Jungle Book and Aladdin.
Directed by Robert Zemeckis, the film reunites the director with Tom Hanks following on from their collaboration on 2004’s Polar Express. Hanks is set to play toymaker Geppetto alongside Cynthia Erivo as The Blue Fairy, who sings the classic Disney song “When you Wish Upon a Star”. Other cast includes Luke Evans (Beauty and the Beast) as the Coachman, Keegan-Michael Key (Key and Peele) as the voice of Honest the fox, and Joseph Gordon-Levitt (The Dark Knight Rises) as the voice of Jiminy Cricket.
It has also been announced that the film will also feature new songs written especially for the film by Alan Silvestri and Glen Ballard, who collaborated on Back to the Future the Musical.
Pinocchio will be released on Disney Plus on the 8th September.
