The film is set to be released in UK cinemas from the 21st October.

Lightbulb Film Distribution has today released a new trailer for Geeta Malik’s (Troublemaker, Shameless) new film India Sweets and Spices, set to be released in UK cinemas next month.

When Alia returns home from university, she challenges her parents’ elitist lifestyle; expensive jewellery, lavish dinner parties and gossiping aunties. But when she invites the son of a local shopkeeper to her mother’s upcoming soiree, family secrets begin to surface…

Directed and written by Geeta Malik, India Sweets and Spices stars Sophia Ali (Uncharted), Rish Shah (Ms. Marvel), Adil Hussain (Life of Pi), Manisha Koirala (Bombay) and Deepti Gupta (Little Fires Everywhere).
