NEWS: Full Casting Announced for World Premiere of A Single Man

The world premiere of Christopher Isherwood’s A Single Man, adapted for the stage by Simon Reade will take place at the Park Theatre from the 19th October.

Full casting has been announced for Philip Wilson’s upcoming production of A Single Man, playing at the Park Theatre from the 19th October until the 26th November. Theo Fraser Steele will lead the cast as George, alongside Freddie Gaminara, Miles Molan, Rachel Pickup and Phoebe Pryce.

California, 1962. College professor George is grieving the death of his long-term partner Jim. As a middle-aged gay Englishman living in the Los Angeles suburbs, he is an outsider in every way. Haunted by his past and unable to move forward, we follow him on one very ordinary day. But for George, this is going to be a day like no other…

A Single Man was written by Christopher Isherwood and features in the Guardian’s 100 Best Novels Written in English. It was made into a 2009 film starring Colin Firth and Julianne Moore and directed by Tom Forde. Christopher Isherwood also wrote Goodbye to Berlin, which was the inspiration for the musical Cabaret.
