Remember it’s not just the West End where excellent shows can be found! Here’s a guide to some of the shows we can’t wait to catch on tour!

Greatest Days: featuring Take That’s greatest hits, we really loved this when we first saw it when it was previously known as The Band. A story of friendship and laughter, it follows a group of ladies who reunite to attend the concert of their all time favourite band. With an original story by Tim Firth, the musical is an uplifting night out for friends – whether they are Take That fans or not.

The King and I: following a successful run at the London Palladium a few years ago, Bartlett Sher’s production based on Rodgers and Hammerstein’s classic musical is heading out on tour from February. Starring Helen George as Anna, the musical features classic songs such as ‘Getting to Know You’ and ‘Shall We Dance?’ and is set to charm audiences across the country.

Titanic the Musical: featuring music and lyrics by Maury Yeston and a book by Peter Stone, this musical won five Tony Awards including Best Musical, Best Score and Best Book when it first premiered on Broadway. The musical actually focuses on the real life stories of those who were on board and their hopes and dreams. This UK tour is set to open at the the Churchill Theatre in Bromley on the 16th March.

42nd Street: Opening at the Leicester Curve on Wednesday 17th May 2023, where it will play until Saturday 3rd June 2023, followed by a season at Sadler’s Wells from Wednesday 7th June 2023 to Sunday 2nd July 2023, this new UK touring production is directed by Jonathan Church . Focusing on the story of Peggy Sawyer who wants break into show business, the musical includes the songs: “We’re In The Money,” “Lullaby of Broadway,” “Shuffle Off To Buffalo” and “I Only Have Eyes For You.”

Matthew Bourne’s Sleeping Beauty: for those looking for something a little bit different to look forward to, then we can highly recommend this beautiful gothic re-telling of the fairytale. Set to Tchaikovsky’s beautiful and instantly recognisable score, this production is touring the UK until April 2023.

Home, I’m Darling: presented by Bill Kenwright, this production of Laura Wade’s play is set to open at the Theatre Royal Windsor on 25 January 2023. The comedy is about one woman’s quest to become the perfect 1950’s housewife but of course things don’t go according to plan. The cast for the UK tour is set to include: Jessica Ransom (Doc Martin, Armstrong and Miller, Horrible Histories), Diane Keen (Doctors, The Cuckoo Waltz) and Neil McDermott (Eastenders, The Royal).

The Bodyguard: this popular musical based on the hit film starring Whitney Houston and Kevin Costner is set to embark on a brand new tour opening at the Glasgow King’s Theatre on the 28th January. The cast is led by  former Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton who will play the role of Rachel Marron. The musical features all of Whitney Houston’s biggest hits including: Queen of the Night, So Emotional, One Moment in Time, Saving All My Love, Run to You, I Have Nothing and I Wanna Dance with Somebody.
