The new comedy by David Cantor and Michael Kingsbury will embark on a UK tour from the 28th January.

Celebrating the TV sitcom, this new comedy is inspired by the comedy writing of John Sullivan (‘Only Fools and Horses’) Tom Anderson (‘Cheers’), and Brian Cooke (‘Man About The House’, ‘Round The Horne… Revisited’).

Five strangers gather in the conference room of a small hotel in Farnham. Despite character differences, one thing  links Pam, Gavin, Morgan, Dale, and Amy… they all want to realise their dreams through comedy. Frank Donohue, the finest sitcom writer of his generation, has flown in from Los Angeles to conduct a seminar teaching his five lucky disciples how to write the perfect TV sitcom. But as he reveals the tricks of the trade, their everyday lives are exposed, leading to mix ups, farcical revelations… and gut-wrenching tragedy.

Set to open at the Theatre Royal in Bury St Edmunds, the production is set to be directed by Michael Kingsbury and will star: David Schaal, Harry Visinoni, Sarah Moyle, Jasmine Armfield, Robin Sebastian and Jack Trueman.

Following its run at the Theatre Royal Bury St Edmonds, the production will then visit: Southend  Palace Theatre from February 7th to 11th; Portsmouth Kings Theatre from the 15th to the 18th; Dartford  Orchard Theatre from the 21st to 25th; Crewe’s Lyceum Theatre from March 2nd to 4th; Edinburgh’s Rose Theatre from March 7th to 19th; Tunbridge Wells Theatre from March 23rd to 25; and the Basingstoke Haymarket from March 28th to April 1st.

The production is produced by  Peter Frosdick and Classical Events.
