The production is set to begin performances at the theatre from the 24th May.

Full casting has now been confirmed for The Mill at Sonning’s upcoming production of the musical Gypsy, set to run a the theatre until the 15th July. Joining the previously announced Rebecca Thornhill as Mama Rose and Evelyn Hoskins as her daughter Louise in Joseph Pitcher’s production are: Daniel Crowder (as Herbie), Samuel How (LA), Buna McCreary-Njie (Kansas), Tim Maxwell-Clarke (Pop), Peter Nash (Tulsa), Seren Sandham-Davies (Agnes), Marina Tavolieri (June), Laura Tyra (Tessie), Susannah van den Berg (Mazeppa), Joseph Vella (Yonkers), Natalie Winsor (Electra). Meanwhile, the children in the show include: Daisy Jeffcoate, Mia Burton, Isla Jones as baby June, Sophie Bidgood, Aimee Brain, Sophie Lloyd as baby Louise and Avi Kruijt, Sacha Yarwood, Samuel Logan, George Clarke, Joshua Rowe, Harley Coles all as Newsboy.

The musical, based on the story of burlesque performer Gypsy Rose Lee and her ultimate showbiz mother, Rose features a score by by Jules Style and lyrics from Stephen Sondheim. It includes songs such as Let Me Entertain You’, ‘Everything’s Coming Up Roses’, ‘You Gotta Have a Gimmick’, ‘Some People’ and ‘All You Need Is The Girl’.

As well as directing the show, Joseph Pitcher is choreographing this revival, with the creative team also including: musical arranger & musical director Francis Goodhand, design by Jason Denvir, costume design Natalie Titchener, lighting Design Nic Farman, Sound Design Chris Whybrow and casting by Pearson Casting.
