The production is set to run at the Islington based theatre from the 6th June until the 29th July.

It has been announced that Isis Hainsworth and Toheeb Jimoh are set to star in a new production of William Shakespeare’s Romeo & Juliet, set to run at the Almeida Theatre this Summer.
Toheeb Jimoh who is best known for his role in Ted Lasso, has previously been seen on stage in A Midsummer Night’s Dream at Sheffield Crucible, as well as in Nine Lessons and Carols at the Almeida Theatre. Meanwhile, Isis Hainsworth made her breakthrough role, starring in Our Ladies of Perpetual Succour, and she has also appeared in Nicholas Hytner’s promenade production of A Midsummer Night’s Dream.

This new revival of the play is set to be directed by Rebecca Frecknall, whose productions include the critically acclaimed production of Cabaret as well as her recent take on A Streetcar Named Desire (led by Patsy Ferran, Paul Mescal and Anjana Vasan) which is heading to the West End’s Phoenix Theatre from the 20th March until the 6th May.
Tickets for the production of Romeo & Juliet are set to go on sale to the public from the 28th March at 12pm.
