The musical will begin performances at the The Shed’s Griffin Theater in September this year.

It has been announced that the world premiere of Stephen Sondheim’s final musical Here We Are will be heading to the Off-Broadway stage from September this year.

Producer Tom Kirdahy confirmed the news of the musical’s stage debut, with the musical formerly been known as s Square One it is inspired by the two films The Discreet Charm of the Bourgeoisie and The Exterminating Angel by Luis Buñuel.

Here We Are is set to feature a book by Tony Award nominee David Ives, with direction by Tony Award winner Joe Mantello. Executive Producers are Sue Wagner, John Johnson and Jillian Robbins. The musical is co-presented by by The Shed; Artistic Director Alex Poots, President and COO Maryann Jordan, and Chief Executive Producer Madani Younis.

Further information with regards to when tickets go on sale and casting has yet to be announced.
