The production is set to run at the Golden Goose Theatre from the 20th September until the 7th October 2023.

It has been announced that Adam Spreadbury- Maher will direct a production of Strangers in Between by Tommy Murphy at the Golden Goose Theatre this September.

Fleeing his family in regional Goulburn, Shane finds himself in Sydney’s Kings Cross district. Attempting to build a surrogate family in the city, he confuses the two families. The city lover he worships  morphs into the brother he fears. Meanwhile Peter, an older man who is dealing with the imminent death of his elderly mother, is himself rendered maternal by the needs of runaway Shane.

The play originally premiered at the renowned  Griffin Theatre Company in Sydney and received its UK premiere at the King’s Head Theatre in 2016. Casting for this production has yet to be announced.

Produced by LAMBCO Productions, Strangers in Between will have technical design by Richard Lambert.
