The production will return to cinemas later this month.
It has been confirmed that The Royal Ballet’s production of Tchaikovsky’s Swan Lake will be broadcast live to cinemas worldwide on the 24th April at 7:30pm, with encore screenings taking place from Sunday 28 April 2024 at 2pm.
Telling the love story of Odette (Yasmine Naghdi), a woman cursed to take the form of a swan each day, and Prince Siegfried (Matthew Ball), this production is perfect for audiences who are new to the world of ballet, or those who want to see the show’s spellbinding magic again and again.
As well as Tchaikovsky’s classic score, The Royal Ballet’s production feature choreography by Liam Scarlett and designs by John Macfarlane.
The production is set to be broadcast in 1326 cinemas across 43 countries throughout 2024.
Swan Lake’s live screening lasts about 3 hours, including two intervals.
