NEWS: Disney’s Hercules to Run in the West End

The production, based on the 1997 animated film, will run at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane from the Summer 2025.

Disney Theatrical Productions has confirmed that their new production based on the animated film will be heading to London next Summer with dates and casting to be confirmed.

The musical, which features music and lyrics by Alan Menken and David Zippel, follows the adventures of Hercules who discovers he has extraordinary strength and power. it includes the songs “Go the Distance”, “I Won’t Say (I’m In Love)” and “Zero to Hero”.

Hercules has already had two stage adaptations with two iterations across the Atlantic at  the Delacorte Theater in Central Park and the Paper Mill Playhouse. It most recently opened in Hamburg.

This production of the musical features a brand new book by Robert Horn and Kwame Kwei-Armah, with direction and choreography by Casey Nicholaw (who joined the show for its Hamburg run) and co-choreography by Tanisha Scott.
