It has been confirmed that the new restaurant will open in Soho’s St Anne’s Court next month.

Details have been unveiled for KöD Soho (which means meat in Danish) that is set to launch in mid-August and will follow the same format as its sister restaurant in Cavendish Square – but with a few new additions and changes.
KöD City was the seventh opening under this brand name for the Danish group
which is celebrating its 10th anniversary this year. It also currently has three sites in Denmark – two in Copenhagen and one in Aarhus as well as three Norway premises in Frogner and Posthallen, Oslo and another in Stavanger.
The brand was created by London based founding partner Morten P. Ortwed who, along with five friends, launched KöD in Denmark in 2014 before expanding into Norway and moving to the UK to oversee the UK developments and launch KöD City in March 2023. The kitchen operations for all UK KöD restaurants is run by James Durrant who previously worked for Gordon Ramsay Holdings and The Stafford Hotel.
Morten P. Ortwed’s wife, Catrine Ortwed is also involved in the design for KöD Soho and will be a part of the restaurant management team when they open in August.
KöD’s City, on Devonshire Square launched with little fanfare and has built up a loyal following, particularly for the (renowned in Denmark) Sunday Roast which at £39 offers top quality steak and will be something that KöD Soho replicates.
