NEWS: Lindsay Posner’s Production of The Deep Blue Sea to Transfer to the West End

The news follows a run at the Theatre Royal Bath’s Ustinov Studio earlier this year.

It has been announced that Lindsay Posner’s production of Terraance Rattigan’s 1950’s drama will be heading to the Theatre Royal Haymarket from the 7th May until the 25th June 2025.

The production’s transfer will see Tamsin Greig reprising her role as Hester and Finbar Lynch as Miller, with further casting yet to be announced.

When you’re stuck between the devil and the deep blue sea, the deep blue sea can sometimes look very inviting. In this powerful drama of passion versus loyalty, Hester Collyer, the daughter of a clergyman and wife of a judge is floundering in the closing stages of a hopeless affair. Freddie Page, her lover, a handsome but shallow ex-Battle of Britain pilot, is out of his depth in their relationship, overwhelmed by the strength of an emotion he is incapable of reciprocating…

The creative team behind the production includes: Peter McKintosh (set and costumes), Paul Pyant (lighting), Gregory Clarke (sound), and Will Stuart (composer).
