White Rabbit Red Rabbit, @SohoPlace: Nassim Soleimanpour’s show heads to the West End from the 1st October and features a different performer each night, who will each have a different interpretation of the script unveiled to them only on the moment of them arriving on stage with no rehearsal! Running until the 9th November, some of the guest performers will include: Freema Agyeman, Olly Alexander, Keith Allen, Mathew Baynton, John Bishop, Alan Davies, Daisy Edgar Jones, Joe Dempsie, Omari Douglas, Alfred Enoch, Kate Fleetwood, Richard Gadd, Jill Halfpenny, Julie Hesmondhalgh, Jason Isaacs, Pearl Mackie, Nick Mohammed, Sally Phillips, Jonathan Pryce, Michael Sheen, Callum Scott Howells, Ben Bailey Smith, Tonia Sotiropoulou, and Catherine Tate. Oedipus, Wyndham’s Theatre: how about catching a bit of Greek tragedy in the WestEnd with the arrival of Robert Icke’s interpretation of the story of Oedipus, set to star Mark Strong and Lesley Manville in the two central roles of Oedipus and Jocasta. This is the latest adaptation of a Greek story from Robert Icke, whose critically acclaimed take of Oresteia was seen at the Almeida Theatre a few years ago.

The Fear of 13, Donmar Warehouse: based on the story of Nick Yarris, Lindsey Ferrentino’s play based on the documentary film will see Academy Award winner Adrien Brody making his London theatre debut in the production. The plot is intriguing so if you want to find out more, why not book a ticket?

The Devil Wears Prada, Dominion Theatre: strutting into the West End this October, following a season at the Theatre Royal Plymouth, this new musical directed and choreographed by Jerry Mitchell features an original score by Elton John. The story is based on the hit film and of course bestselling novel by Lauren Weisberger and is set to star Vanessa Williams as the iconic Miranda Priestly.

A Raisin in the Sun, Lyric Hammersmith: Lorraine Hansberry’s play is revived in London for a limited time only from the 8th October until the 2nd November. It was the first first play by a Black woman on Broadway and is directed here by Tinuke Craig (Jitney, The Color Purple).

King Troll (The Fawn), New Diorama Theatre: Sonali Bhattacharyya’s 2023 Women’s Prize for Playwriting nominated play is heading to London this October for a limited season from the 4th October until the 2nd November. It follows the story of Riya and Nikita who are trying to navigate tue authoritarian island where they live in wildly different ways. Insecure, stateless, both are desperate for somewhere to call ‘home’.

Juno and the Paycock, Gielgud Theatre: Mark Rylance and J.Smith Cameron return to the stage for this revival of Sean O’Casey’s play which is directed by Matthew Warchus and will run in the West End until the 23rd November. It is a family based drama that is described as ‘a big-hearted, black-humoured, tragi-comic triumph that reflects on a mother’s resilience in the midst of life’s most trying moments.’
