Interview With…Scott Alan

We chatted to the singer-songwriter about performing in London at the Cadogan Hall on the 10th November.

How does it feel to be performing in London again? London is my favorite city and anytime that I get to return it almost feels like a return home.  My career started moving forward in 2007 and my first concert in London was 2008 so it feels like London has been with me for the entire journey.

What can audiences expect from the show? I try to do my best to  bring the audience into my living room and give them an opportunity to see behind the curtain.  I never want it to feel like there’s more energy being put into the design of the show than into the music itself.  The music and the connection between the songs and the audience is what’s most essential.

You have worked alongside some incredible artists – is there anyone that you would love to work with next?  I know this is cliché  but most of the artists I’m dying to work with haven’t been discovered yet.  I just love new talent and what they bring forward.

What is next in store for you?  After London I have a concert in Toronto and then home to my daughter and husband.  Nothing fancy but the life I’m grateful to have.

What do you love the most about doing what you do?  Ask anyone you meet, and 95% of the people aren’t passionate about their work.  I’m lucky cause I love it and love working alongside other passionate people like the incredible artists in this concert.
