NEWS: Little Angel Theatre Announces Spring/Summer Season

The Little Angel Theatre has confirmed details of its early 2025 season including three brand new shows for a range of ages as well as the return of some favourites.

The newly announced season is set to begin with the stage adaptation of A Squash and a Squeeze, based on the book by Julia Donaldson and Axel Scheffler which has been adapted for the stage by byOlivier-nominated duo Barb Jungr and Samantha Lane. It will run at the theatre from the 1st February until the 27th April.

It will be then closely followed by The Little Angel Theatre’s production of Miniature Travelling Circus, which will run for a strictly limited time from the 15th February until the 19th April. Featuring puppetry, the show has been written by Miranda Pitcher & Lizzie Wort and sees George the Ringmaster curating a programme of acts which are more bedazzling than ever.

Overheard in a Tower Block will take to the stage from the 24th May until the 27th July. It is a coming of age story that has been inspired by award-winning
poet Joseph Coelho’s book which covers themes such as family, friendship, courage, and self-discovery.

Meanwhile, Krafty the Urban Fox: Tales from the Tower Block will also be heading to The Little Angel Theatre from the 4th May until the 27th July 2025. Written and directed Samantha Lane, the show follows the adventures Krafty as the character scavenges for snacks with Whiskers the cat, sings and grooves with Hoot the Owl as well as darting through the air with Bertie the Bat and sharing a quiet moment with Spike the hedgehog.

From the 19th May until the 20th July, the theatre will stage the adaptation of Julia Donaldson’s The Paper Dolls – a story of childhood, memory and imagination which returns to the theatre, having been adapted and directed by Peter Glanville.

Meanwhile the theatre will also be taking its shows Stories of Stories (from March 2025) and Persephone: A Tale of the Seasons (from February 2025) out on tour.
