Jamie Lloyd’s production of Shakespeare’s play is currently in previews.

Production images have now been released for The Tempest, which is currently booking in the West End until 1st February 2025, with it officially opening next week.

The production’s cast is led by Sigourney Weaver in her West End debut as Prospero. She is joined on stage by Jude Akuwudike (Alonso), Jason Barnett (Stephano), Selina Cadell (Gonzalo), Mathew Horne (Trinculo), Mara Huf (Miranda), Forbes Masson (Caliban), Mason Alexander Park (Ariel), James Phoon (Ferdinand), Oliver Ryan (Sebastian) and Tim Steed (Antonio).

The legendary Sigourney Weaver makes her West End debut as Prospero in this enchanting story of
revenge and forgiveness.

As well as being directed by Jamie Lloyd, the production’s creative team includes: set and costume design by Soutra Gilmour, lighting design by Jon Clark, sound design and co-composition by Ben and Max Ringham, co-composition by Michael ‘Mikey J’ Asante, movement by Fabian Aloise, associate direction and text editing by Jonathan Glew, casting by Stuart Burt, musical direction by Giles Deacon, intimacy coordination by Ingrid Mackinnon, associate costume design by Anna Josephs, props supervision by Fahmida Bakht and production management by Lloyd Thomas.
The Tempest is the first show in Jamie Lloyd’s Shakespeare season at the Theatre Royal Drury Lane, which will be followed by a production of Much Ado About Nothing starring starring Tom Hiddleston (Loki) and Hayley Atwell (Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning) from the 10th February until the 5th April 2025.
