Rehearsal images have now been released for the upcoming run of Simon Stephens and Andrew Scott’s adaptation of of Chekhov’s masterwork, Uncle Vanya, starring Olivier Award -winning actor Andrew Scott.
Andrew Scott is reprising his acclaimed performance from the West End run. This Off-Broadway run is set to begin performances one day early on the 10th March and due to popular demand is extending its run for an additional week, now playing until the 11th May 2025.
Comedic and tragic, Chekhov’s examination of our shared humanity – our hopes, dreams, regrets – is thrust into sharp focus in VANYA. This production explores the kaleidoscope of human emotions, harnessing the power of the intimate bond between actor and audience to delve deeper into the human psyche.
Rehearsals began in London earlier this month, with the creative team also including direction by Sam Yates, designer Rosanna Vize, lighting design by James
Farncombe, sound design by Dan Balfour, video design by Jack Phelan, movement
direction by Michela Meazza, music by Kelly Moran, and costume design by Natalie
Pryce. Vanya will be Executive Produced by Wagner Johnson Productions.
