The West London theatre has confirmed what it has in store.

The Bush Theatre has confirmed details of its programme until early 2026, which will be the final season programmed by outgoing Artistic Director Lynette Linton following six years of programming at the theatre. New Artistic Director and Co-CEO, Taio Lawson will join in the summer.
In the main house, the season will open with Miss Myrtle’s Garden from the 31st May until the 12th July. Written by Danny James King, it follows the story of an elderly woman attempting to deal with the changes in her neighbourhood while confronting her past. This production will be directed by Taio Lawson.
Meanwhile, the Bush Young Company will present Will Jackson’s Make Me Feel, directed by the theatre’s new associate director Katie Greenall (19th to 23rd August).
This will then be followed by Superwoman Schema by Emma Dennis-Edwards (6th September-25th October), which will be directed by Lynette Linton and star Golda Rosheuvel and Letitia Wright. It tells the story of two women’s struggle following the death of their matriarch.
The year will finish with After Sunday a co-production with Coventry’s Belgrade Theatre set in a Caribbean cooking class in a secure hospital (10th November to 20th December).
Meanwhile, 2026 will begin with a co-production with Tara Theatre titled Sweetmeats, which will run at the theatre from the 7th February until the 21st March, which follows the story of two South Asian elders as they navigate the sparks of a new forbidden love.
The theatre’s studio space will also host a series of shows produced by new and established production companies including Camille Koosyial, the Palestine Comedy Club and Troupe Courage, Jessie Ananad (This Might Not Be It), and the ALT B (aka Alternative Bush) series, a platform for creatives, makers and performers across art forms.
Talking about the news, Lynette Linton, the Bush Theatre’s Artistic Director said, ‘At a time when finances are being increasingly squeezed, we recognise the importance of the arts and are determined to push through with a season on new writing and community engagement. Our new season boasts new talent, as well as established artists, co-productions with some of the most exciting companies in the UK as well as new work from our outstanding Bush Young Company. Running the Bush Theatre for the last six years has been one of the biggest honours of my life and I am so proud of all the incredible artists who have passed through the building. Dan and I wanted to disrupt the canon, and I believe we have done just that with over 50 productions from the most incredible British and Irish writers! I am so proud of our wonderful last season, with more £15 tickets than ever, and I can’t wait to see all these wonderful artists grace the legendary Bush stage…also big up to the new Artistic Director, Taio Lawson – I can’t wait to witness Bush Theatre’s new chapter.’
