The Hampstead Theatre has revealed casting for Richard Bean’s adaptation of David Mamet’s neo-noir film, which begin performances on the 2nd May and will run until the 7th June.

Directed by Jonathan Kent, the cast is set to include: Lisa Dillon (Hapgood) as Dr Margaret Ford, Richard Harrington (Hinterland) and Oscar Lloyd (Stranger Things: The First Shadow) as Billy, alongside Joanna Brookes (The Gift) as Kathleen, Robin Soans (Uncle Vanya) as Joey, Siôn Tudor Owen (White Christmas) as George, Kelly Price (The Sex Party) as Trudi, Laurence Ubong Williams (The Motive and the Cue) as PJ and Andrew Whipp (F*ck the Polar Bears) as Bobby.

Celebrated psychoanalyst and author Dr Margaret Ford has a new client. Billy needs help: he’s addicted to sex, drugs and, most dangerously, gambling big money at an illicit poker lounge, the House of Games. Dr Ford also happens to be in search of subject matter for her next best-seller – a search which takes her deep into Chicago’s underworld and into the path of Mike, a charismatic gambler. A complex game commences, in which even the players themselves don’t know the rules, their roles, or who will be left holding the trump card…

With a press night scheduled for the 12th May, the creative team includes designs by Ashley Martin-Davis, costume design by Deborah Andrews, lighting by Peter Mumford, sound by Paul Groothuis and casting by Juliet Horsley.
