NEWS: A Man For All Seasons Starring Martin Shaw to Have West End Run

It has been announced that Robert Bolt’s play A Man For All Seasons will run at the Harold Pinter Theatre this Summer from the 6th August until the 6th September following its runs in Brighton and York.

The play looks at the events surrounding  Henry VIII’s demand for a divorce from Catherine of Aragon to help him become free to marry Anne Boleyn – with Thomas More’s act of defiance.

Directed by Jonathan Church, the West End run of the show will see Martin Shaw (Hobson’s Choice, The Best Man and Twelve Angry Men ) reprising his role as Thomas More. He will be joined in the new run by Gary Wilmot, Edward Bennett, Nicholas Day, Calum Finlay, Orlando James, Hari Kang, Asif Khan, Annie Kingsnorth, Sam Parks, Sam Phillips, and Louisa Sextona. Further casting has yet to be announced.

Meanwhile, the creative team includes: Simon Higlett (set and costume designer), Mark Henderson (lighting designer), Paul Groothuis (sound designer), Matthew Scott (composer) and Gabrielle Dawes (casting director).
